Following Up As Promised

When I posted on New Years I promised to follow up - I did get on the scale. I was praying it would say under 180 because I have been so very bad - the verdict....179 - I should be thankful I guess. But all I can think is that is 7 pounds over what I was before I stopped in November. That's 14 pounds over what my goal was for right now. That's fat!!!!! It's really hard not to comfort myself with a huge slice of carrot cake right now but I will try. I worked out with Leslie 3 days in a row but yesterday my ankle gave out - I've had it on ice for two days now but no working out. It probably couldn't handle all that extra weight I've added - my fault - all my fault - now it's time to work on fixing my mistakes.

    Don't be so hard on yourself. We have all been down this road. Try not to blame the extra weight on your injury.... you probably just tried to do too much all at once. Get that ankle healthy again and then ease into your exercise routine. I'm finding the Realistic Resolutions Challenge helpful. It gives a lot of helpful tips for those of us who are trying to get back to healthy eating and exercise. I'm trying to get back and it to but finding it difficult this time, but I figured slow steps are better than none at all so hang in there; I"m with you.
