8.5 inches gone!

So, the scale hasn't budged. Oh sure, a pound down, a pound back up, but no great movement. Today I finally got around to measuring myself. I knew that my jeans felt looser but did not think that I had lost 3.5 inches from my hips! 8.5 inches from all my measurements! This is over about 5 months and my big change was walking, and walking, and walking! I have a pedometer on my smart phone and it really motivates me to get walking! One school that I work at is a quarter of a mile from one end to the other. I try to walk a mile a day plus all the walking I just get teaching. A few times I have gotten in two miles in a day. I have started tracking calories since the beginning of the year and I think that if I keep walking, add in some aerobics and track my calories I will make a big difference in me!
