Sometimes it's hard to be good!

This past week was full of good and bad choices or no choices. It started with traveling to Lexington this past Tuesday evening. I went ahead and splurged for dinner know it was probably my last decent meal for sometime. Steak, baked potato and a salad. You see this is the week we have been working up to Since July. Hubby was to finally have his shoulder replacement. I didn't want to get a salad and have to be jealous of his fabulous looking steak!!
Wednesday morning we were greeted at our 5am wake time with 2-3 inches of snow. We got ready and made out way to the Gil Heart Center where he was to check in and then go await being taken to pre-op. All went well. Being as I knew he would be hungry from not being able to eat or drink after mid-night I stashed a banana and an apple in my bag and waited until I was kicked out of pre-op before consuming my banana with a coffee and bottle of water.
My plan had been to go to the cafeteria and have lunch, but I could not tear myself away from the notification board. His surgery was to be at 8am and he wasn't taken into the OR until 9:23. This made me nervous and I didn't want to carry around our heavy bags (he was being admitted after surgery) anyway, so I tried to nap a little, hard to do in a large room full of people talking. By the tie lunch time came I settled for eating my apple.
What should have been 3 hours turned into 5 and before we even made it to a room it was 5:30. They brought him dinner and I made the sensible choice of having a salad from the salad bar. I made good choices throughout the time we were there and then we came home and I continued to make good choices. I've done good since then, but then I had a bisquick with butter and jelly last night, lol Oh well!
I haven't been on the scales in a week and don't want to for now! I am following a plan again. Starting over again now that he is on the road to recovery! With that said, I am pleased with how I did! Even the sugar free pineapple upside down cake wasn't over kill! I added pecans for protein and healthy fats! Yay me!!
