So I can't let today end without a quick post about my night of teaching. It was the second class of the semester, and it went extremely well. I'm letting the students guide the class as much as I do, and it seems to be working. They are all (with one exception) very engaged, and I'm having so much fun with them all. The wonder of experiencing new viewpoints has been totally inspiring to me! Case in point - we took a 20-minute break at the halfway point (rather than a 10-minute break at the end of each 50-minute period), and I had a conversation with about 4 of the students during the entire break. I didn't even get a chance to run to the restroom! LOL
As I expected, I came home with as much energy as I had when I went to work this morning. It will take a lot of effort to decompress at the end of class so that I can go to bed, go to sleep, and feel rested in the morning (especially when Stella has decided that 4:30am is her new wake-up time). I expect to go in late to work tomorrow, but that's fine, because I'll be ready for the day, whenever it starts!
I am doing a new fitness routine - Insanity Max 30 by Beachbody - Shaun T is still the host, just as he was for my previous series Focus T25, but the level of intensity is so much greater. I'm doing great so far the past two days, because I had tremendous preparation, but I have to learn some new ways of doing things. I really love high-intensity exercise, and these routines give it to you!!! Now that I know I have to get the exercise in the morning to feed my brain and be ready for the day, I will adjust my schedule in whatever way is necessary to ensure that I am firing on all cylinders!
Thanks to everyone for your words of encouragement and support. I'm having a blast right now, and just knowing that you're all on this journey with me makes it all worthwhile. I am also grateful for the text message from Jane that her surgery was successful! I wasn't worried, but it's still nice to know that she's doing well and will be dancing with all of us soon!
Today has been an awesome day, but as I like to say, tomorrow will be awesomer!
I hope you all do your part to contribute to the awesomeness.
Have a great night, friends - see you in the morning!
