Day 427 - Life Is Short

Sunday, January 31, 2016

Life is short. Break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile.

We had so much fun this evening with Bill and Robert. We had a great dinner and then played "Scene It! - 1980's Edition" on the DVD. We just let the questions fly at us. We were wrong most of the time, but that didn't stop us from shouting out ridiculous answers when we had no clue what the question was.

We were laughing like crazy, and had a great time.

Sometimes you have to let loose and just be crazy with friends. We are so fortunate to have made such wonderful friends here in such a short period of time. We are already making plans all the way out to the Fourth of July! Who'd have thought that we'd be this comfortable in our new town? Certainly not us!

Sometimes it takes a leap of faith to realize that someplace NEW can be an adventure! We are so blessed to be a part of this community, with friends with which to hang out and just be ourselves.

Life IS short - so make the most of it. Live it to the fullest, knowing that it isn't about what we did nearly as much as it is about whom we did it with!

Do something fun tomorrow with someone you love. And be sure to SMILE!

I LOVE to laugh and even better I love making people laugh around me...or at least I did before we lost our beautiful Josh. Then I couldn't think of anything funny or worth laughing at. But a long, long time has passed now and it's time for me to
I seek out more of the sunny side of life..there is one...we just have to decide to favor it and look for it sometimes.

DH and I have a great knack of taking the absurdities of our crazy complicated life and just laugh at them! Sometimes things are so bizarre they ARE funny!

I'm so happy you have great friends that you can laugh and enjoy...I wish you many, many more...and would you PLEASE do a little laugh rehabilitation on our circle...they could surely use it! emoticon

Steve, I just finished replying to yesterday's blog. And a mentioned a leap of faith, you're statement made me smile. You have a wonderful understanding of what is really important in life.

We know not the number of our days It is important to make every day count, even the no good rotten ones, which I hope are few and very far between. We learn lessons from those bad days, sometimes even the most important ones. Things like enjoying the company of really good friends, you appreciate them more if at sometime a "friend" turn against you.

Love, laughter, living life fully these things are like seeing the sun after a week of rain. Just like the sun warms your body these things warm your soul.

Life is an adventure, don't ever loose your zest for living or your curiosity about what tomorrow will bring.

    I wish you joy!

Laughing is good for the soul. We don't do it often enough. We take life too seriously, especially me. I have made a concerted effort to look or the irony and humor in life. Sounds like it was a fun evening! Have a great week and keep Sparkin!

The reason yo have fit into the community, is that you have made the effort to meet people and to become involved. I am so delightd that there are so many cool people you want to hang around with, and that you have reached out. The most difficult part of moving to a new place is to find YOUR place in a new community. You have obviously found yours, and how awesome is it that you not only like it, you are comfortable with everyone.

I also agree that laughter is the best medicine. I am spending some time every single day watching a funny movie. I think it is the smartest thing I am doing, other than doing exercises even though they hurt.

Hope you weekend is awesome, and that next week, you are set into the routine of your new class, and it's not so stressful.

So glad you guys have settled in so well and are meeting such lovely people!
Last night, my hubby and I cooked a special dinner just for the fun of it, lit some candles, fired up our wood-burning stove and cranked up the music! Later on we hung out on the sofa regaling stories about the craziest moments we could remember from our childhood! My goodness, we were really cracking up.... Keep on having fun!
