Day 536 Blizzard Warning...for tomorrow...messed up today completely.

Monday, February 01, 2016

We are under a blizzard warning from tomorrow morning early until into wed. I was supposed to go back to the doctor tomorrow but they canceled my appt. and tried to reschedule it for Wed. I was also going to get my pain pills filled at my appt. since I ran out 2 days ago. Because they are Hydocodone of course I can't have refills but have to get a new script every time I need them. It can take the pharmacy 10 days to notify the doctor that I need them refilled and then they clinic has to mail them the script. It took me several hours today to get them to write that script and let me pick it up to get it filled before the storm hits.

There is also no way I will get to that appt. on Thurs. if we get the foot of snow we are expecting. My snow guy won't get my dug out until late on Wed. or maybe even Thurs. So that also is not going to work.

I did finally get the call that the prescription was ready to pick up about 3. So off to town I go. I also needed toilet paper really bad. The last roll was out of the closet. So I picked up the script...took it to Walmart and did a little shopping since I'll be snowed in for 2 or 3 days. Sounds like I need to make a nice big batch of chili and let it simmer all day tomorrow. One of my very favorite things to do when it's snowing and blowing.

The warning is for 8" to 14" with 30 to 50 mph winds. That will really blow all that snow around for a couple of days. How much snow did you get Koffee? Since it seems to be coming out of Co.

I was home a lot of the day. But when I did to go town I checked on mom and dad and told them I wouldn't be back in town until Fri. Mom is looking forward to a nice snow storm. She's planning on sitting in her room watching it snow and being very happy she does not need to leave her bldg. She also told me again today that they are so lucky that when us kids realized that they couldn't live in their house any more that we had found them a perfect place to be. Somewhere that is comfortable, safe and they are completely taken care of. That always makes me feel good.

My eating was fine today. At least I was home when it was meal time and not trying to get somewhere.

I never did get to do any fun stuff today tho. Oh well I will tomorrow.

The lake here is thawing because it is unusually warm, and is has been raining off and on all evening. The Canada Geese are honking at 1:47AM. They must be sitting in the open water, finding fish to eat, and sharing their good fortune with all their neighbors. It is a little foggy, and that will probably be worse in the morning. I wonder if the kids will have a school delay...

My DH and I have been binge watching a show called Bosch, and we just finished the the first season of nine episodes. We watched from about 9PM until a few minutes ago when I decided to turn off the computer, but I decided to check in with you first. So now I've checked in and you are enjoying your snow days, making chili, playing with Peabody, and cleaning house, catching up from being sick. I'm going up to bed. I'll probably read a few minutes and turn out my light, hoping to sleep well. I hope you are doing the same, sleeping well!

We've had 200 inches so far this season (yes, that's more than 16 feet....). In the last 2 days we've had another 10 inches. I can't believe any is making it PAST us to hit you!
