It's been a while since I've posted an update so I thought I'd write down some quick notes. Things are going ok but there is always room for improvement (i.e. more time at the gym, cooking at home more, less drinking).
I was at the doctor a couple weeks ago and gained 1 lb over Christmas/New Years. I'm actually quite proud of that since Nov/Dec/Jan have been notoriously bad months for me in terms of weight gain. I also talked with her about my leg pain. Since I pulled my hamstring in November I've been dealing with pain in one area of my leg or another. I tend to heal in one area only to over compensate in another and then injure that area. After four months, I'm over it. She ordered an ultrasound which didn't show anything thankfully and told me to go to physical therapy.
I've gone to a couple PT appointments and am not happy with the person I'm seeing for a variety of reasons. Plus, I get more relief when I just see the chiropractor. I do think the activities are valuable and I do need to strengthen muscles. I may just find someone else to go to. In spite of the pain, I've still been getting to the gym every Monday. I'm just riding the bike, which doesn't cause me pain, and doing upper body weights. I'm glad I've incorporated it into my routine and I'd like to add another day...or at least do my PT exercises on a set schedule.
Meals have been good and bad. I'm not cooking at home as much and that's leading me to grab quick dinners. Not a good plan. I'm making some tacos tonight which will give me dinners for a couple days. Something to continue to work on.
Other than that the weather is spectacular and I'm looking forward to some vacation in the next couple months. Onwards....
