Day 439 - Being Inappropriate

Friday, February 12, 2016

Steve posted something pretty horrible on Facebook tonight. Neither of us could stop laughing. Sometimes, you have to do something outrageous and let the chips fall where they may. I haven't had a good laugh like that in a long time!

My body is going through some changes because of this new exercise routine. I am still trying to figure out exactly what's happening. I can tell that some muscles are growing. I think that's a good thing, but it makes my weigh-ins challenging. Is my weight going up because of muscle gain, water weight, or something else? It may be too early to tell. One this is for sure - I'm not stressing over it!

My work week is officially over, although I will be doing some work from home over the weekend. We are off Friday and Monday for President's day. We're getting together with friends each evening until Monday. It's going to be a great weekend.

LIke my laptop (which is having severe issues with the touchpad tonight), sometimes we need a reboot - a change that kickstarts our lives again. My new exercise routine has really taken me out of my comfort zone. I didn't realize I need a reboot until after I had one. Maybe you need one too.

Find a way to restart and recharge. Your body - and YOU - will be forever grateful!

Keep Sparking, friends!

Yippee...for long weekends! I hope you enjoy every single moment of it! As far as reboot...I surely need to find that switch! I don't know why I'm SO stuck...I'm going to ponder on that this weekend. emoticon

I change my routine regularly. Although running is my go-to exercise, I'll switch to elliptical or spinning bike for a few days. If I have a race, I walk/jog shorter distances the week prior. As for weight, I alternate between calisthenics, free weights and machines to keep my muscles guessing. When I reach a plateau, if I can break it by dieting, I'll change my physical activity routine even if it means reducing the time and intensity of my workouts.

I am sure your exercise routine is what is causing scale changes...and I am glad it's not bothering you! I think you will see yourself changing shape...could you get any better? Awesome!

When I was running regularly before my last foot-op, I sometimes had to re-boot my nutrition to get things back in line on the scales. A couple of days making green salads with small amounts of goodies like avocado, kidney beans, hard-boiled eggs and a yogurt dressing paired with drinking more lemon and ginger water seemed to be what my body was yearning for. Hope things realign really soon and that you have a lovely long weekend with lots of fun and laughter, Steve! Hugs!
