Ouch, Any Suggestions

Started back with the exercises for my left knee last night. I was in bed last night and I realized just how stiff my knee joint was. I got out my small exercise ball and my hard foam roller and used those. I also did some squats by the bed and slid my leg back to front to try and get it stretched out.
I was already hurting in my right hip joint over the last couple of days, but have continued walking outside and back and forth to the mailbox. {yes I used my crutch for balance}.
This morning, I had to get in my recliner because my right hip joint hurt so much. I have just taken some medication for inflammation. Luckily I still have some samples left from the Doctor.
You know, it is very difficult to lose weight when I cannot walk, have constant pain and joints get inflamed. {not fair}. I keep trying anyway.
If anyone has any positive input about how to not have inflammation on that right side. {it is where the leg connects to the hip, at the bottom right of my tushie.} When this hurts, it is scream city. OUCH is not a big enough word.
I want to exercise and lose weight......... so many barriers....... totally not fair. Frustrated, but I know I have to accept whatever life dishes out. I may not like it but I am here for the duration.
I do rub this joint with the 'Blu Emu' cream. {2 of my Dr.'s use this}. One of them said that he wasn't sure if it was the rubbing or the cream that helped. I don't care, as long as something helps.
