Day 561 Rough start but lists saved the day.

Friday, February 26, 2016

OH I did not want to get up and go out to get my hair done. But I did. I need that human contact. But maybe I'm a bit over stimulated this week. Monday night quilt class, Block of the Month club, stopping at mom and dads and then my hair appt. That is a far cry from seeing mom and dad once or twice a week and never talking to anyone but them.

And amazingly enough people are talking to me at both class and Block club. Bit strides in getting out of the house.

So I was pretty grumpy early today. But when I got home from my hair I sat down and made a list of the things in my mind that needed to be worked on. Then I decided some of them were not that important so they got removed from the list. Then I took a pain pill and a Xanax and sat down to work on my list.

1. do the homework for quilt class on Mon.
2. row on the temperature blanket.
3. work on the mini quilt for mom's door.
4. fiddle with some ideas for new place mats for mom.
5. work on the granny squares.
6. spend a little time on the computer.

Those things then all managed to get done. I was so much more calm when I got some of those ideas out of my head. I think I'm going to start a project jar. Then when I feel like I can't figure out what to do. I can pull out an idea.

It was also nice to be at home eating on my schedule and playing with my own animals.
Also it was warm enough today to sit out with a sweat shirt on and play catch with the dog. I also managed to get almost 9000 steps in. 3 of my projects are getting really close to done. Then I can start a new one.

My cousin who is a year older than me just got word that she is going to finally be a grandma. I'm so happy for her and it's a baby girl. On of my next projects will be a blanket for that baby. Not because I need to give it a present but because I love my cousin.

I finished my slumber party pillowcase for my granddughter's birthday and have started another one for another GD.

I need to make a lunch bag for a six-year-old granddaughter. Her bento box has to fit inside it so I need to measure it and make the bag to fit. I found out that one of the projects I will mak eat the sewing extravaganza is a sweatshirt jacket. I know I will use that so I am excited about making it.

Do you think you will make a baby quilt or crochet a blanket for your great niece? Whatever you decide will be nice because you make pretty things.

I like your project jar idea, but I have too many poject started to fit in a jar I think! Have a Super Sunday! emoticon
