My little hero

Thursday, March 17, 2016

Our kid went back to school today. She had to hobble slowly with her crutches, and ask friends to carry her heavy school bag between classes. The school nurse lent her an elevator key so she wouldn't have to deal with stairs. And she lasted the whole day, and stayed after classes to ask her teachers for instructions on how best to catch up after missing over a week of classes after her knee surgery.

And now it's after midnight, and she's finishing up her math homework. In 6 hours we have to wake up for her early physiotherapy appointment. And who's tired and grumpy? Not the kid but her lazy mother. Well, admiring lazy mother. Who's going to smother her with smooches at bedtime. When the kid finally, mercifully, decides the day is done.

So glad to hear that she did so well! What a wonderful attitude! And you, dear Bemused, are the opposite of lazy! Hope tomorrow goes as well, and I'm sure it will.

I had a feeling she would do alright and her friends would help her. And she's catching up. What a good foundation she had ...so who does she take after ? Hmmmm ? I know who .
