I listened to Chalene Johnson's podcast about Your Power Phrase. Funny enough I discovered what mine is later today.
Today's workout was not my best, and that's going to happen. To get myself through it I kept reminding myself you'll feel better when it's over, so get excited. I do this a lot in situations where I feel stressed, nervous, anxious and out of my comfort zone. I remind myself of the positive results or a better moment that is to come, and tell myself to get excited about it. For example I'll say things like. "Don't be nervous about doing this by yourself. Be excited, because you'll be much more confident. Yes it's stressful having to deal with car troubles, but you're going to take it in today to get repaired. Tomorrow is Friday and you're weekend is going to rock, so be excited."
What's your power phrase?
