Family Day

Saturday, March 26, 2016

I had a fantastic day with the family. We started out by going to breakfast, a trip to Home Depot and Menards looking for a new grill (ours rusted and fell apart at the end of last summer, oops!!). Then we went to Costco, I was surprised it wasn't as busy for being the day before Easter. We were in and out in 30 minutes with no free samples (Ok, one strawberry) because we were all still full from breakfast. Came home and unloaded, I got a little cleaning done while the family went and got Easter plants for everyone then it was off to the movies. We saw Batman v Superman. It was ok, it was really long!! After that we came home and colored Easter eggs. It's been a really long time that we have had a nice family day like this. I look forward to them because I know the kids are getting older and don't always want to hang with mom and dad.

I made it a point to get my workout in tonight because I knew I wouldn't be able to get a chance to work out tomorrow. My foot is hurting me a little tonight so I walked instead of running, but I should be back to running hopefully by Monday.

Thanks for reading and I wish you all a Happy Easter!! emoticon emoticon emoticon

What a great sounding day you had! I love those times with family, you're right that as your children get older they become less frequent but then it all comes back around. Now that my girls are adults we're spending more time together then when they were teenagers.
Hoping that you have a calm and pleasant Easter Sunday! emoticon

Sounds like an absolutely beautiful day full of family bonding! Good for you for getting the walk in and I hope your foot is indeed feeling well enough for running on Monday!
