Sunnyside up

Monday, March 28, 2016

Spending this week with our kid has helped me notice things I hadn't before. For example, who knew she was such a glass-is-half-full person? Today the campus tour was in pouring rain, and the kid still enjoyed herself. She wanted to have lunch in the cafeteria and liked all the food. She really enjoyed the enthusiasm and perkiness of our guide. And even though her post-surgery knee was a little sore from being over-worked yesterday, she only mentioned it because I asked.

So it has been a good day so far despite the weather. Although it has helped tremendously that today's hotel let us check in early; we have already starting icing the kid. We have 2 "optional" campus tours on the schedule for this afternoon but we might skip them so we can save the kid's knee for tomorrow.

I am so happy for you that, even though she's a teenager (and teenagers can be so NOT sunny side up) and even though it rained and her knee is sore, she is so optimistic and cheerful! Keep on having fun!

Keep on doing what is best for the knee. Better to be safe than sorry. Have fun on the road trip. emoticon emoticon

Good plan. Maybe she's already decided where to go . How many campuses (sp?) in all. In my time we had three choices. Period, and no option but to live at home.
