Why can't I sleep?

3 days ago I decided that my life was going to change. I have always been active but I ate whatever I wanted which caught up to me about 4 years ago.. I put on 60 lbs.. oops. Well starting two nights ago I just can't sleep. My legs are aching, I toss and turn until I just end up getting out of bed usually around 3 am. This must be related to the change.. It has to be. I am not sure why my legs hurt I did hike up a mountain but I bike almost everyday so my legs are strong. Oh I wish I could sleep longer than 5 hours.

    Lots of article here on helping to get better sleep, I have bad insomnia and am so grateful for a good night's sleep. Hope you get back to sawing logs soon.

    I just read eating more protein can aid sleep. I'm gonna try it

    It is a mystery sometimes. One thing I would say as an avid cyclist, is that hiking does utilize different combos of muscles than biking, so that may be why you're sore. As for the sleep, who knows, but hang in there and don't give up!
