Accidental success

Wednesday, April 06, 2016

Looks like I'm making it through day 2 without nighttime snacking. It helped a lot that I was so tired that I passed out on the sofa after dinner, and didn't wake up until 3 hours later. I've had a couple of very late nights trying to catch up on work after a week off, and I guess it caught up with me tonight.

Anyway, I'll take any small triumph however it comes at this stage! I'm waiting to tuck the kid in bed; it's part of our daily ritual. And then I've got a couple of work chores I want to get done. Or maybe I should go through the bills which piled up while we were away. How to choose between two unappealing things....

Sleep always works for me. Can't eat when you're sleeping! And it occurs to me as I sit here thinking about it that I never dream about food either. Sleep is truly a respite from all this worrying about food and weight gain!

But sorry you had to do stuff again after you woke up! Too bad you couldn't sleep on through the night, to keep yourself totally safe. Hope all went well!

You could try flipping a coin to see which chore you do first. Have a great rest of the week. emoticon emoticon
