LIDS??? Oh My

Friday, April 15, 2016

Here I am again...... purging and cleaning. I really would rather be doing something else.....REALLY emoticon emoticon

Today, I was suppose to have a guy come to look at my washer to see if he could fix it. Since he did not call or show up, I got busy. It has rained for a few days, so I did not do what I wanted to do.

I was looking for a pan to cook with and I started to pull out all of my pots and pans. Most of the pans and lids were dusty from lack of use. (I seem to use and clean the same ones over and over again). I matched up all of my pots and lids, and I had 10 leftover lids. That's about 7 too many. I found out that 3 of the extra lids will fit other pots, so for now, I will keep those.

Last year, I remember throwing out some very old frying pans. Apparently the lids wanted to stay here. This year, they are being donated. The lids are in great shape and maybe someone will want them.

Today, I have pitched two more very old frying pans that I never use. (Lids are among those that will be leaving). emoticon

I have ordered a new 11" griddle and it should be here next Thursday. The old one will go into the trash. Food sticks to the old one.

I went ahead and washed all of the pots and lids. They are drying on top of my stove as I type this. I am letting them air dry and will put everything back in place tomorrow.

I realize that I am only making a dent in my quest to get rid of "stuff," but at least I am trying.

I have two very small metal pot/casseroles. I have only used them a couple of times, I think they may have to go. They are in great shape and look new. Someone may appreciate them.

Wishing my Spark People friends a very blessed day.

Thinning things out does not mean getting rid of everything - just the things we don't need or want or use. You did a great job today. Good luck with the washing machine.
