Help!
I started walking/jogging with my husband in 2014, and since last summer we go at least 1 time on the weekend. We do anywhere from 3.4-5.5 miles. And we do a few hills.
(I was not athletic growing up so this is all new to me though I have always worked out or tried to do stuff - lifting, treadmill, etc.)
During the week since we started walk/jogging, I do ab workouts & I do Walk Away The Pounds or Chris Freytag workouts. (usually 20-30 minutes before work). I eat good (no fast food, watch gluten & sugars - you can see my trackers here)
My problem is I still ache so badly after we walk/run. Every time. My upper shoulders, lower back, my arms, my legs feel heavy thick. my ankles creak, knees crack. I stretch my legs before we go & after. (Hams shins & quads)
Last night we went at 6pm. I thought maybe going later it would make me sleep, but I could not get comfortable. I took Ibuprofen finally & I am up taking more today. I am 52, 5 ft 4 & am up to 170 lbs. (my weight seems to be going up).
My husband says that I am not doing it enough, but come on. It has been over a year of this. I googled this morning & I dont see anything about others having an issue.
I dont want to give it up as my husband is a really fit runner. I had blood work done in the fall & everything was good. I just want to know if others had this same issue in the beginning years.
Thanks for any advice, I ache so back today - again. Ugh!!
