May goals and a NSV!!

Monday, May 02, 2016

Well the year really is flying by!! It's crazy that May is already here. We have 17 days until Vegas and I really can't wait to have some time to relax. My work schedule has been awful and is even worse this week as I am on the every other day schedule again and I'm working Friday night too. It's hard to recover from this schedule. I hate feeling like a zombie for an entire week.

April was not a fantastic month as I really strayed away from my program. In the end, I gained back what I lost for the month. I need to be more focused on my journey, no excuses. I know I need to take it a day at a time and that's how I'm gonna face it.

Life has been busy around here. My daughter will get her driver's permit next week after she makes up the classes that she missed when she was sick. I can't believe she's old enough to be driving. I'm sure it will be interesting being in the car with her. Any advise from anyone with a teenage driver? My son started baseball practice and my husband is coaching the team again. It's finally starting to warm up and we've started tackling our landscaping and I am hoping to be able to start planting next week, weather permitting. Also we are adding a new bathroom in the basement so we need to start getting stuff out of the way for that because they will be starting at the beginning of June (is that really only a month away??).

My daughter and I went shopping today. We were actually shopping for her. She didn't find anything but I was able to find two shirts and a skirt for myself. I got them all for $19 with coupons and Kohls rewards and JcPenney coupons!! Even better, I didn't have to get an XL!! That made my day. I know it's not always about the numbers on the scale.

I don't normally put a weight loss goal on my monthly goals, but I'm going to this month and see what happens. What are some of your goals? Here are mine:

1. Lose 2 lbs (small number, but I'm taking into account my vacation)
2. Get better rest
3. Run at least 2x/week
4. Drink more water (I put that plant nanny app on my phone as someone suggested, it's kinda fun!!)
5. Not fall off the wagon when I get back from vacation

I hope you all are doing well. Thanks for reading. emoticon

Congrats on scoring some great deals on your shopping trip.

Don't worry, all the craziness will be worth it once you're on vacay! emoticon

My two daughters are adults. But I remember the fear when they first began driving. I would tell you to limit only one person in the car with her when she is driving. I know that kids don't always obey our rules. But when more kids are in the car with her she will likely be distracted. It is tough for us to let go.....I pray all goes well for her. Good luck with your goals.

Just keep doing your best and moving forward! When you have a crazy schedule like that, all you can do is keep working to find something that works for you. You will get there!

Wow with your daughter starting to drive. Sounds like the rest of your family stuff is going well!

I'm not sure what my goals are for this month yet, I think I need to get my half marathon done before making any goals lol. Mostly I just want to get on track and make progress with cleaning and packing for our upcoming move.

I think that you're doing great considering your awful schedule. Working like that really messes with you in many ways.

I like your goals, I think that they are totally doable for you.

Great NSV- Always nice to slide into a smaller size!
Your May goals sound reasonable. Keep working the program, one day at a time! emoticon
