My blog today is in memory of my mother who died of breast cancer in 2004.

What is a mother?

Someone who knows you're special...

... even if you're one of many

A mother is someone who...

... gives kisses when you need one

... is always ready to cuddle

... listens when you need to talk

... shelters you from harm

... gives you a boost up if you need one

... will try to stop you from doing something that might cause you harm

... takes you where you need to go

... always gives good advice

... teaches you what you need to know in the world

... loves you no matter what

... and thinks you're beautiful

... even if you're adopted

Today is a day to think of your mother wherever she may be, and smile ...

Thank you for sharing your life and your mom, with me. I do appreciate it. When I started reading, I thought about my mom, who passed away 13 years ago, and then when I saw the words "breast cancer", Ii immediately thought of my second mom. My dad remarried a WONDERFULL lady 10 years ago and she is AMAZING! She was stricken with breast cancer, but by God's Grace, she is an 8 year breast cancer survivor. I am so sorry for your loss, and I feel guilty and angry that my second mom is still alive and your mom isn't! I don't understand God's timing, but I trust in Him and know that He's right on time ALL the time!
