Epic fail

Monday, May 09, 2016

I capped off a 6 day streak of sticking to plan and no snacking whatsoever with a Mother's Day blowout of embarrassing proportions. Now I'm sitting here feeling bloated and a little bit regretful. Not a lot, because I did have fun indulging with the rest of the family. But a little bit regretful because I should have tried a little harder to indulge a little bit less.

Oh well, 6/7 is 86% compliance, which is much better than I have done in a long while. And it's a new week, so a fresh start. As the hub likes to say most mornings: Another day, another chance! That sort of perky optimism usually inspires a private eye roll, not because he's wrong but because I'm usually a bit grumpy in the mornings anyway. But it's a new week and I'm feeling hopeful.

A new week! I read "private eye roll" first to be "pirate eye roll." Oh the imagery!

I just love the juxtaposition of "Mother's Day" and "blowout"! There's no way for me to convey how much you just cheered me up, my dear Bemused! Still laughing! You'll be okay.
