Get This Back on Track!

Tuesday, May 10, 2016

On Sunday, April 10, I officially moved out of the apartment my boyfriend and I shared and into the house by the park. On Wednesday, April 13, I found out that the "owner" of the house was being asked to leave. Apparently she did not actually own the house, she was leasing it. Which would be fine, if the actual owner weren't putting an end to her month to month lease so they could have their daughter live there. Our schedules were so out of sync that I never actually spoke to roommate #1 (the one who had the lease). I found out about it from roommate #2 and then texted and Facebook messaged with #1. So I scrambled to find a new roommate on the same sites I used to find the first one. On April 30 I moved into an apartment with this new person. It's closer to Birmingham (Alabama, USA) than I would prefer, but my co-workers told me it's not a bad area and so far it's been nice. My new roommate has a similar schedule to me so we are often home at the same time in the evening and even eat dinner and watch TV together. So far it's been pleasant. The only thing I can see that could be a real problem is the fact that our cats do NOT get along. I really can't afford to move again anytime soon so I need these brats to chill.
My mom had her surgery on May 5 (the breast reduction surgery that had been cancelled in April due to a funky EKG). She's doing really well. Her recovery hasn't been nearly as dramatic as her sister's was a few years ago. You can tell a HUGE difference. I'm happy I got to spend the day of her surgery and the following weekend with my parents. There's no way my dad could have handled that all by himself.
With all of that going on I have seriously fallen off the wagon. I don't think I've been eating very poorly, but I haven't checked into SparkPeople or done any exercises. I know I haven't gained anything, but I also haven't lost anything either. So this marks day one of me getting back on track. I have GOT to log in everyday again and track my food.
Wish me luck!!
