A cold day in ....

I had a full day's work on Sunday. I drove in early morning, through hail. Yes, a shower of pounding hail. In the middle of May. I had to spend part of the morning outside - we brought umbrellas in anticipation, and every few minutes tipped them over to shake off the accumulated slushy snow. Again, in the middle of May. As we trudged through weather, a young colleague behind me said: "It's my father's fault. He said it'd be a cold day in hell before ...." I didn't hear the last part of his sentence. But I turned around and laughed, "Did you just call this place hell?!?" Not that I'm arguing the point....
