It's All Fun and Games

I'm am 100% a food addict. I don't know if it stems from not having enough as a kid, or just from being a REALLY emotional eater, but there you go. I've tried time and again to change my relationship with food, but I end up shoulder deep in a vat of noodles again before I know it. Being able to successfully limit myself is a completely foreign concept.
Anyhoodle, this time around, I'm attempting to make it a little bit of a game, or challenge, to myself. How can I take a typically fat/carb/calorie laden meal and switch it around on myself? Tonight is the perfect example.
My kids (very loudly and with great vigor) requested that I make my homemade fettuccine Alfredo for dinner tonight. I can't tell their sweet little faces no, so I'm playing around with ideas to health-ify it. I think I've decided on a cauliflower cheese sauce, with grilled chicken and broccoli (minus the pasta for myself.) If anyone has some creative ideas for recipes, let me know!
