Select your thoughts carefully

You need to learn how to select your thoughts, just the same way you select your clothes every day. This is a power you can cultivate.

If you don't already get up every day with love for yourself and determination to make this a GREAT day, why not?

Why are you letting anyone dictate how your day will go, especially you? Why aren't you being as supportive as possible, as loving as possible, as determined as possible to YOU? After all, you treat your friends this way. Aren't you really your best friend?

If you answered no, you have a little work to do. No matter your weight, your circumstance, find things that are great about you. Write them down. Look at them. Tape them to a mirror. Know you are awesome, and worth your love and effort. Know you can be successful in any endeavor, if you only try as hard as you can.

I have to stress this once again, because I keep reading it here on Spark. If you have junk in the house that you like to eat, you will probably eat it. Get it outta there!! An Aunt of mine used to leave a bag of oreos on her counter and see how long it took for her to open the package. What kind of craziness is that? Buy some oranges, and leave the friggin oreos at the store.

You are worth this effort. Your thoughts can be sabotage, or encouraging, lilting melodies, urging you to do great things. You have the power to change this minute by minute. Every time you have a negative thought, stop yourself. Immediately. Remember one of your awesome qualities, and your determination and strength, and move forward with power and love.
