Week 5: Perspective helps

Pretty boring week, right? Of course losing 1.8 lbs isn't easy, and is on the higher end of my goal weight loss. Trendweight says at this rate I'll be at my goal weight before Halloween. Maybe one or two weeks like this can be motivating, but doing weeks like this over and over can feel like a slog. All that work for just a little bit of weight loss? Even worse, what if I didn't weigh as frequently and I happened to weigh in on a higher day? Maybe I wouldn't be motivated at all because it would look like despite all that work I actually gained!
Until you see the big picture. Look at that wasteland of no weigh-ins earlier this year! Look how fast it looks like I'm dropping when you see the 5 weeks of work I've put in! This chart looks like a double black diamond ski trail. Lots more to be motivated about.
I am good on all of my goals - 7 days of weigh-ins, 7 days of checking in SP, and a weekly blog post. This is the first week where I aced all of my goals! If they truly become habits I'll have to pick some new goals pretty soon.
Swam six days last week. I am loving it. Hope to find other physical activity that I LOVE doing when the pool closes in August. My wife will be out of town for a few days this week - I've got my plan to eat healthy this week, with some helpful meal planning from the wife. Feel free to check in and see how I'm doing!
