Power of habits

Wednesday, June 29, 2016

Since childhood I have been chubby and overweight! Never understood power of habits and how they form. Slowly started realizing how they are taking over me. I lost 40lbs back in 2010-11 and gained it back after birth of my first child. I am back to where I was. But now I feel determined to change those bad habits once and for life time. I joined SP 4 days back and today I feel proud that I have gotten some control over my mindless munching..here is pic of my clean meal for dinner today..it's not a great pic but I am proud of it:) I created my own menu with black eyes bean salad with tomato soup..both recipes have no oil at all! And I am satisfied with my meal today...now will have a my favorite dessert..frozen wild boreal blueberries:)..good night everyone. I look forward to stronger me tomorrow!!

I will definitely listen to it. Thanks! I am a stress eater and I am a student. I study whole lot of time, sitting in one position for hours and have back to back classes, that has put me in trouble! I eat when I am stressed..exams get me!!

Go to YouTube and listen to the lectures by Jason Fung M.D. who wrote "The Obesity Code". I've learned so much from him as he treats kidney patients who most often have Type 2 diabetes and are obese. He says we have to cut our carbs since processed foods have "flavor enhancer" chemicals that make us crave more. He's very interesting and explains why 95% of people regain the weight they lose, just like you put the 40# back on.

We just have make these habits & form of control & make them our lifestyle. This is not a drill/diet it's a lifestyle.

    God bless,
