Happy Independence Day! Hope everyone stays safe.

This is my 4th week in doing a Paleo challenge at Crossfit. It is going well. I am noticing many changes. My clothes are starting to become loose on me. My workout pants are starting to fall! emoticon My stamina is becoming a little stronger each day. I am still the very last person to finish, but I don't mind at all because I am still getting up and doing something.

My goal right now is to complete the prescribed workouts no matter how long it takes me. I am going to start taking pictures so that someday I can inspire others like me.
I honestly am so fortunate because the people at the gym I go to have so much patience for me and push me. Many times when they are done with their workout, they will come right along side me and finish up with me inspiring me all the way. I want to be able to do that to others because I know how important that is when you think that you are too big or too tired to finish.

I am still at 290lbs for the last 3 weeks, but I have gained so much more strength and I am doing things that I have never done before. That makes me super happy. I am not about to let that scale bully me...it doesn't own me! I feel strong and good about myself...and that's all that matters. I am sure the weight will come off eventually.

Today I was able to complete 4 rounds of: emoticon
7 burpee jumping pull-ups (I have to modify my pull-ups. Someday I will master these.)
17 power cleans with dumbbells (I am not up to using the bar yet.)
150 singles (jumping rope) ( I haven't mastered double unders yet.)
200 meter run
It took me 29:12 to complete. I look at this list and all the modifications and think I am doing better and better.
I was NEVER able to do a burpee off the ground before. I had to use a box instead. I am getting better at pulling myself up higher each time I do a jumping pull up.
I used to just use a plastic pipe to learn the form of power cleans.
I NEVER jumped rope. It was just so hard on me.
Running was unheard of for me, but I am doing it slowly without stopping I might add.

I am still 290 lbs and my body can do all these things! I am really happy about this.

Hope everyone has a great week! God bless!

BTW this is what I think about the scale......

You are doing a great job! Keep it up. I feel the same way about my scale as well. Try measuring your arms, hips, bust, waist, thighs, and legs. That will give you more of an indication of your weight loss. Muscle weighs more than fat.
