Another two shootings, not justified, and probably not prosecuted. I hope this stops.
The tragedy with the killing of Dallas police officers yesterday, was no less than an offshoot of the frustration, horror and sadness that black families feel every single day, when they are called out, pulled over, and harassed. Sometimes killed.
I know a lot of good cops. They do a very hard job. The tragedy in Dallas was horrific. It was a clear indicator of a broken system. We HAVE to do better.
The governor of Minnesota, Mark Dayton, said clearly yesterday, about the killing of Philando Castile in Falcon Heights, MN, that he didn't think that Castile would have even been pulled over if he was white. I agree.
This must stop. We all must realize that there is a problem. Once we see that there is a problem, we can work towards solutions. No cops should be racist, and shoot citizens and no citizens should shoot cops.
We need to do better. Here's hoping that these tragedies open a REAL conversation.
And, THANKS GOP for your continuing vendetta against Clinton. You are now shooting yourselves in the foot...for myriad reasons.
Off to Boulder, CO.
Spark on.
