Keeping the Car parked. Walking more and Eating less.

So I just finished the first week of a 7 week summer job. IT's at a Military summer camp for teens. I've been keeping my car parked most of the time. Walking back and forth to meals at the messhall, and back and forth to my office as well. My room is fairly central to all of the things I do in the run of a day. So I've worked it out, just walking back and forth to meals and work is about 40 minutes of walking per day. Way more than i'm used to frankly, my feet are killing me. I'm not even counting in the building and around the office and stuff like that.
Meals are hit and miss, usually fairly healthy and well balanced, but they do offer French fries as a side option way too frequently. I've been sticking to my plan and keeping away from the dessert trays.
The first week we had a few evening functions that I had to work a little harder to plan ahead for, and 2/3 I did fine at, the third I had a few too many adult beverages and thought I might have ruined the whole week. But i was able to pull it back together over the weekend, and ended my week with a 3 lb loss. Very happy with that. If i can keep off the sauce this should be a very productive summer weight loss wise.
