Mindful

Today we had a nutritionist from Kaiser talk to us about mindful eating. Not much new information but it was presented in an interesting manner. She used a ton of audience participation which made the topic much more interesting. At the end she gave each of us a tangerine. We had to right down how it looked and how it smelled. Then we got to peel it emoticon and take out one section and have a small bite, and describe how it tasted. Then a bigger bite and describe how the taste changed. Then we got to eat a whole extra section while she gave us each a dark chocolate Hershey Kiss. emoticon Then we went thru the whole process again.

What was interesting was that a total chocoholic like me was satisfied with one Hershey Kiss. I think I might be sold on mindfulness thing emoticon at last.
