I am not leaving, I'm just prioritizing my life.

Wednesday, July 20, 2016

I have slowed down writing blogs lately. I have had a number of issues crop up, including pain, and now arthritis, that is hard on me. I will ALWAYS continue to monitor my food, eat right, and exercise, as those are now important components of my life.

A devotion to Spark has now come in second place to taking care of me. They are not mutually exclusive, I know, but logging in, getting Sparkpoints, worrying about that has become of lesser importance to me, and maybe that is as it should be. I got there, I KNOW how to manage things now, and I don't need Spark. I just like it.

I KNOW I will continue to do the things I was taught here, I will continue to be a member of Spark, and I will continue to blog and comment. I just am no longer going to pressure myself to make it something I HAVE to do.

I understand that this is not something everyone will agree with, and I am good with that. I know, from experience, that people don't always agree with me. I have had my share of detractors, and maybe a little bit, that is influencing my decision.

I love Spark for what this site has done for me in the past year. I love how I feel, love my ability to monitor my health, food intake and exercise levels through tracking. I love all the good people I have met through this website. I admire so many of you so much.

I will continue to be a presence, just not a constant one.

Spark on.

Dropping optional things that are a chore is a wonderful thing. It's the way well-balanced grown-ups do things, and I applaud you. We'll be here when you have the desire to check in. No sense making an obligation out of it. Spark on!

    Jane,
You are secure in yourself and your new lifestyle! I totally understand...I think still staying connected is good...but that "have to" isn't something your need for yourself! I understand. I hope your issues work out and I look forward to what blogs you do write!
    Hugs,
    Mary

So glad you have the tools you need in order to be successful. While we'll miss your frequent, thoughtful blogs, it is MORE important that you do the things that take care of YOU. Know we are here if you need a boost or want to share something wonderful!

I truly understand, there just don't seem to be enough hours in the day and I feel myself reaching the same conclusion. There are only so many hours in the day and I know that I have reached a time and place where I have to stop and smell the roses. And that means reducing my emoticon time. I too will be here, just not as much.

The most important thing is that you take care of yourself and know that you are very important to me.

    With love,
    Dottie

Sending thoughts for healing and living pain free. You are one tough woman and I know you will fight through this and come out on top on the other side. Take good care of yourself. That is the most important thing you can do. Stay strong.

I'm right behind you, my friend! I know that there are other priorities that I need to focus on, and SP will have to take a backseat. But I will be forever grateful for the site that allowed me to reach my goals, teach me to love physical activity, AND introduced me to amazing people like you. Your friendship means a lot to me, and I know that we don't need SP to maintain it!

Enormous hugs sent your way. XOXOXOXOXOX

I actually understand what you are doing and agree with you. I am not there yet, I still need the push; but I have learned so much over the last 1 1/2 years and I have already been thinking about when I move on. Not permanently, like you said; but so much time is taken up on Spark. I think one day it will be more important for me to focus on other things - there is so much I want to do. In fact, this morning my husband offered to drive me to Roanoke for a visit with the grandkids. He and my daughter Rachelle have always had a kind of rocky relationship so this is HUGE. I've been looking for hotels that won't break the bank, will be clean and quiet and will take dogs. I think I've got my top choices, now we just have to make sure Rachelle and family will be around.

I am so sorry you are experiencing pain - and arthritis is not a good thing. Take care of yourself, I know you will!
