Egg Fast... Day one

So my interest is peaked about this whole Egg fast. I have looked on youtube and watched a bunch of videos of people that have lost from 5-10 lbs in a week doing it. I expect 3 to 5 lbs. It is supposed to be really good for your liver. If while you are at a stand still with your weight loss low carbing it is supposed to help you break plateaus. I just find this really fascinating. I don't have an answer to why. I just want to try it to see if I can do it.
So while watching the videos I see that many of the people that are on it refer to I Breathe I'm Hungry website. So at nap time today I finally find the article that people refer to on line. It is a 5 day menu plan that goes into details about why people egg fast and the nutritional benefits.

9 am
Day one. Hmm eggs. We have farm fresh, free range eggs from our hens.
Eggs can make me have to go.... Am I going to be able to do this?
3 fried eggs, small ones, fried in 2 tbsp of butter. fry in either unsalted butter or coconut oil. with one ounce of cheddar cheese.
Bullet proof coffee one cup of coffee blended in my ninja with 1 tbsp of butter
unsalted and 1 tbsp of coconut oil.

OMG my thoughts? I am going to poop my brains out. Why so much oil? OMG so many eggs. Ok. I cooked them over easy. put cheese on top and folded it to melt it.
Remember I am not an egg fan. I took a bite. Ran around with my day care kids. Took another bite or two. Made them breakfast. Couple more bites. Before I knew it it was eaten. Ok I can do this. I am only eating 15 meals with eggs and I am done! I got this.

R i am thinking I am going to barf at the the whole Idea of all that oil in my coffee. The blender made it whip up like coffee with cream. A little froth on the top. A hint of coconut flavor. Which i love coconut. I drank it hot, afraid it would get nasty if i drank it cold like most coffee. probably would be awesome with splenda in it but I have been trying to stay away from artificial sweeteners.

2pm
Lunch.
Really I am just getting hungry again. Where has the morning flown with this group of kids. I put the last little one down and the older kids are reading to each other. I scramble 2 eggs in one tbsp of butter and put 1 oz of cheese on it. Big jug of water 32 ounces.
My dog thinks he is going to get some. Nope. this is my fuel. I just fed you hot dogs the kids did not finish. No way Bubba.

Ok 2 down, 13 to go!

I go to I Breathe I'm hungry website and find it is not just eggs on the plan. She has you prepare them in ways so that you do not get bored. Ahhhh. Egg salad.
Buffalo eggs... Hmmm I can do 13 more meals.

I am off to cook my dinner. 8 pm. Tomorrow I will try to eat earlier.
How do I feel? I am not hungry.
I have not farted once.(come on you were wondering, I was worried)
I have not pooped.
I notice bad breath. Ok brush a couple more times a day.
Not hungry.

    Wish I liked them but ugh - closest I can do is quiche,
    but only as long as it is stiffer.

    I know I miss out on a lot due to disliking them...sigh

    The eggs and oil make sense for a keto diet. I did paleo for a long time and if I were still doing that, I might try this. Let us know how it turns out.

    I do not expect to lose that much. I figure 3-5 lbs. I know I will not do this more than 5 days. Remember that eggs are not my favorite.

    This is suppose to help while eating low carb. I have been doing that for 5 months with great success. This just an experiment.

    I'd re-think any diet that claims you'll lose 10-15 pounds in one week. This is not healthy.
