Day 4 Tame Your Sugar Challenge and BLC 32 registration

Thursday, August 04, 2016

So, my worst time yesterday was after dinner. I didn't have enough protein at dinner and I was meeting a student at a Starbucks. I thought about chocolate. They have a new 200 calorie drink there that appealed to me. They had mini chocolate bars 50 - 60 calories each. Finally, I decided on decaf espresso over ice and had my planned yogurt and blueberries at home later with a sprinkle of low sugar granola. Felt GOOD!

I can't get over how much better my body feels already. Now I just have to remember this!

On another note entirely, the BLC Challenge 32 is open for registration today. I can't tell you how much I've gained by being part os this supportive, wonderful team. I'm on Azure Destinations - a fun-filled group of loonies who get fit together. I'd highly encourage anyone who's ready to try something new to register! Here's the link: sites.google.com/site/we

Such a victory for you to choose NOT to indulge !!

One way to remember this lovely healthy feeling will be to keep a record. Not just here but an actual written journal you can easily reference when temptation is pulling strong.

    Mine looks like this today:
" 8/4/16: Wanted to veg with laptop but, after coffee / news, climbed 5 Stair Flights, performed 8 Rise N Shine Stretches and walked 30mins on Tready (Lovatnik, Norway; -2% to +8% grade; 2-3mph)....I feel STRONG and ENERGIZED !! "

When I don't do as well, I also note that and how I feel...making that mind / body connection so good choices might become a without-thought habit.

    Well, I've written a book here, haven't I..... emoticon
