The best place to start your healthy lifestyle journey whether this is the first time or a restart is RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE.
Yep! You need to accept where you are physically, mentally and spiritually and move forward from there.
How?
Assess where you are and then decide what needs to change. Make a list of short, medium and long term goals for each area of your life that you feel needs changing. Put it in writing! SparkPeople has a great place where you can do this if you prefer that method. But no matter what, get your goals into print.
Then, step by step start working on those goals. Don't expect to master everything at once or get it all perfect the first or even tenth time! It is all about the learning and growing and as long as you are moving, putting one foot in front of the other, you ARE making progress!
Accept where you are, right here, right now no matter if you are at the start or middle of your journey. Each day is a new gift, so go into it being thankful for a new chance to make a healthy difference in your life and the life of everyone that sees you.
Be positive even on tough days because that will get you through without sabotaging all the effort you've already made. You have made progress! You are reading this blog which means you really want to be a new healthier you. That is real progress, no matter how hard your day is!
So, accept where you are, right here, right now.
Stay strong and keep moving forward no matter what happens in your day.
