Week 7 of 8 weeks away from home

This will be short as I need to sleep soon, but I just had to record how proud I am about my ability to stay on track this summer, despite being away from home and with almost constant eating at people's horses or out at restaurants.
I think the big difference is that weight loss is a symptom of my efforts to live as though I am diabetic (though I am not yet pre-diabetic.) Somehow this strategy seems to keep me focused on the fact that any day I easy within my calories is a day where I have been successful. And every day where I exercise helps my blood sugar. This is keeping me motivated when I am down about how little change I notice with my body's shape.
As for the side effect, I am not 100% of my weight because I don't have a scale so I have been weighing randomly at my Mom's house. However, it does look like I am down over 5 pounds since I have been here. Since I aim for 2 lbs per month, I am more than satisfied. I wonder if my husband will see any difference...
