Insanity: Still fighting off this cold, but dedicated to my challenge. I"m also a firm believe in exercise (without too extreme) to help heal the body. So I did the workout, and similar to yesterday, did not push *as* hard as Insanity would have liked. But was still dripping sweat at the end - which is my goal! Drink lots of water and sweat out these cold germs! I then showered, then followed that with a long soak in an epsom salt detox bath. Boy did that feel good! Earlier I had cleaned my room and the house, so until dinner I was reading in bed, feeling clean, accomplished, and at peace. Tomorrow is a day off for Insanity - perfect!
Mindful eating: Tracking as usual. I don't have much food in the house now - but I was too lazy/sick to go shopping - so I made a couple protein shakes and scrounged the cabinets for food today. I had oatmeal after my 'protein shake dinner' and wow it really is good! I"m talking old fashioned oats, made with almond milk, and a little stevia. Delicious. For content, I have been paleo/low-carbing for as long as I can remember. I still plan to keep *mainly* a paleo lifesytle - because it makes sense to me. But sustainably, It makes a little more sense to have some of the 'healthy' carbs now and then - plus they make me happy:) So the calories tracking as the new focus is interesting for me - at the end of the day nothing affects weight loss more than that. However, there is something to be said for getting your body into fat-burning mode (by low-carb) and I'm not doing that now. Hmm..the trade offs. I think I'll try to track and low carb together..but won't freak out if I have an apple or some oatmeal.
Have a good one!
