Going back to the start

Friday, August 19, 2016

I have started to let things lapse a little. emoticon I've been grabbing cookies emoticon and candy emoticon way too much lately and my weight has crept up a little emoticon . Just a couple of pounds but more importantly my jeans feel a little tight and I'm uncomfortable.

I have adopted some good activity habits including getting a strength coach emoticon and trying to get 250 steps or more in as many hours as I can as well as keeping up my daily brisk walking routine emoticon . but I know I'm going off the rails a little and it's time to buckle down and get back to doing stuff right emoticon!

Smart to recognize the problem and plan to do better. It's so much easier to turn around a few pound gain than letting it get into major pounds.

You can absolutely do it! I've been there many times, and I know in the moment it may seem tough, but know that you have gotten back on the wagon before..and after just a couple days momentum, you will have the feel-good to keep going!

Yeah, it's so easy to fall back into old and not so healthful habits. You can do this - just keep reminding yourself that you're changing lifestyles. (My splurge yesterday was two huge organic nectarines - absolutely delicious!!!!!)

You know what to do -- take those cookies to work, and leave them for your co-workers! No more cookies!!!

emoticon I would love to get a trainer especially with my shoulder and neck. Unfortunately, with the gym, Pilates and the horse, I think I have used up my exercise budget emoticon

It's a huge deal that you recognize a slip and put a plan in place to get back on track. Remember the days when we used to let one slip turn into two, which turned into ten which made us just give up???

You are a strong and wonderful woman!

I am in the same boat as you. Your blog prompted me to contact my gym to see if I can get a trainer. I really miss that.

Good luck with your new plan. emoticon emoticon emoticon
