Phase 2 - SOS

Last Wednesday our group started phase 2 of State of Slim. In this phase, you are given additional carb choices (quinoa, low fat string cheese, pork tenderloin, APPLES & BERRIES!) along with your choices from phase 1.

You are also given ONE indulgence meal a week where you can eat and drink what you want - anything you want! - for ONE PLANNED MEAL. Not a day, and it MUST be planned.

It was so satisfying to go out to dinner and have a peach sangria and potatoes! ;) lol, yes, I had more than that, but those are the two things I really enjoyed most! :)

What have I learned so far?
emoticon I am resiliant and I have the ability to make GREAT choices!
emoticon Planning an indulgence meal is FUN and it's something to look forward to, and it reminds me that no food is off limits!
emoticon Walking is actually fun. (I had forgotten that for a while!)
emoticon Vegetables are versatile and change flavor based on how you eat them (Raw, baked, steamed, grilled, etc).
emoticon My "whys" on losing weight include becoming more confident, feeling comfortable in my own skin, hopefully avoiding diseases that run in my family.
emoticon I AM losing weight and feeling better - in just three short weeks I have been able to stop taking my daily prescription for GERD!

I'm glad I made the choice to go on this journey. I'm excited to see where it takes me next! :)
