Back to the routine after a week of vacation. My boyfriend and I spent some time in a small beach town in Michigan. I thoroughly enjoyed it. We spent the day on the beach, visited breweries and pretty much ate whatever we wanted. At the beginning of the vacation I was still exercising in the morning. Nothing crazy, but a little something to get my breath and blood pumping and to put me in a good mood. By the end of the week I had no motivation to workout. Usually when I feel like this a little voice pops up in my head and talks me into getting on with it. That little voice must have been on vacation too. :)

It made me realize that it all stems from what you eat. When I'm on my usual eating plan, I feel happy and motivated. At the beginning of this week I felt slouchy, gross and non-energetic. I'm really happy to be back to my routine. I'm cleaning up my body by following a Paleo diet and exercising.

So if you're finding it hard to get motivated to workout or stick to your plan, you may need to reevaluate what you're eating.
