Day 256 of my VLCD journey!

Monday, September 12, 2016

I love being an auntie, I love watching them grow and know that I am apart of their lives, and that I am making memories that I hope they will have forever.
I am watching my niece for 2 weeks while their mommy and daddy are bear hunting upnorth. She is in school this year so she can`t miss that much school. She is doing great and we have a routine and I am exhausted but I am so happy as well. After dinner, we go and she rides her bike and I walk! I love knowing that I can be active with her and not just sit on the couch. This is week 2 of her stay. I am really liking our routine we have and the fun we are having!

I have not however happy with my food choices over the last week. I am not making good choices. I have snacks in my house for Jennie. I have good choices like grapes, cheese sticks, graham crackers, goldfish crackers, etc. I am a snacker. I always have been. I cleaned my cupboards out a long time ago and I don`t have this stuff in my house because I like to snack whether I am hungry or not. So needless to say I am struggling right now. But I have set a goal for myself. I have a check up next Tuesday and I want to loose 5lbs by then. being on a VLCD I know I can do it. I just have to focus and ignore the demons! I am now avoiding the kitchen unless I am in there to prep food for Jennie or if I am filling my water bottle.

I am going to start telling myself that I am a priority I am worth it and I can do it!!!

have a great Monday! I hope everyone sets up for a great week!

Happy to hear that you guys are having such a emoticon time. Your plan to battle the snacking sounds like a good one. Just stick to your guns! emoticon emoticon

    Good job catching yourself!!!

I still pick up my younger son's discarded snacks, but, now, I dump them in a measuring cup and log them. Snacking is fine, as long as I don't blow my budget.
I'll be like, carby crackers, or save the calories for chicken later? Easy choice.

Bear hunting. That's different! Sounds like a fun time of bonding for you and your niece. I hear you on the kiddie treats!

I feel for you. I remember when the kids were that age. THEY could burn the calories off, while pooor Mom could NOT. Had to just keep reminding myself NOT MY FOOD!

    Hope week #2 is good!
