I have had my C-pap for almost a year but lately I feel like I am not getting enough air. This afternoon when I went back to my sleep doctor I found out that I was in fact not getting enough air because when I first got my C-pap I only weighed 242 lbs.& now according to their scale I weigh266lbs. last time I was at my regular doctors office I weighed in at 254 lbs. They are setting the air pressure up to 12. I was only at 8 before. Hopefully this helps me sleep.

It looks like I need to make a few food & drink changes. Starting tomorrow no more pop or teas for me & no more M & M's for a while & this will help get my weight loss back on track. I will starting walking a little bit more each day too.

Mine is also self-adjusting. And there are nights I wake up in the middle of the night and pull it off because it is driving me crazy on my face. Medicare helps cover the cost but they require that I use it at lest 4 hours a night every night; if I wake up and the machine shows less time I have to discipline myself to stay in bed and keep it on. Other nights I sleep through with no problem - don't know what the difference is. Hopefully you can get your weight back down enough to have the unit readjusted back down. Meanwhile I hope you get better sleep now. Good luck - you are not alone!

Thanks for this comment. I have wondered about my C pap too. They gave me a self adjusting one..this last time. I don't understand why they all don't do that. They are uncomfortable enough!
