My Life Has Gone Nuts!
Monday, October 10, 2016
Long time no blog, and so much has gone on! I'll have to do the quick version and fill in the stories later.
My husband and I went on vacation in Seattle and Victoria. Had a great time. I got a cold a couple of days before we went home, which knocked me on my rear.
We got home, and Hurricane Matthew was heading right for us. I was really sick, and couldn't help my husband prepare much. We had 2 days to prepare. He ran around buying supplies. He boarded up the house, I managed to pack up valuables and suitcases. We left for Atlanta with our important stuff, including Princess Kitty.
We watched the hurricane on TV. We got home yesterday. Our house is fine. Just minor roof damage and a spoiled freezer. Some of our neighbors have trees through their roofs. No one was hurt in my area.
On top of that some good news. My husband had an interview a few months ago. We got an offer while we were storm refugees. So now we need to pack up and sell our house. We already have a couple of potential buyers, which would be amazing.
We don't have power in the house yet, and we have to pack up the house and clean/repair for sale. Craziness.
I have absolutely no idea how my weight is holding up. I have no time to think about it. I am trying my best to adhere to my diet, but there's a lot more creep since I don't have fine control over my food. Especially when I have no power for cooking, or a freezer.
On one hand, the hurricane helped us to empty our fridge for the move. Our home insurance was kind enough to give us money for the lost food.
