Weird Night leads to Weirder Day

Last night turned into a nightmare until 3 am when I finally went to sleep. But then I slept soundly until 10:30 when my phone rang.

So I decided it was a good day to tackle some housework and laundry and just call it a Susie Homemaker day.

I did not finish
the laundry
the kitchen cleanup
the vacuuming
or much of anything really

I did
do 3 loads of laundry
emptied and filled the dishwasher
and every time I walked thru a room I found things I haven't paid any attention too in way to long a time. I kept picking odd things up and finding places they should belong in. Way too many empty water bottles and empty cans sitting in places that needed to be thrown in the recycle bin. Even things that should have been thrown away long ago.

I feel a little like today was just kind of wasted and I was lazy. I watched TV but kept seeing things I needed to do. So I'd get up and walk around until my arms where full and then put thing away. This is so far from my norm I have no idea what caused it. I want to spend the next week along those same lines. Maybe I would actually get my house clean. What an odd idea. My house is never clean and I don't like people coming to my house.

I even baked some bars today. No idea where this whole thing came from but I'll take any cleaning and clearing I can muster. It is just something I tend to not do ever.

Enough silly talk. I'm hoping to get sleepy here in the next hour or so. So I sleep when it's dark. I have a full day tomorrow. I get my hair done in the morning and then I have to pick up my dads medical card and take it to several places because he didn't show it to them when he was hospitalized in Sept. Guess I'll be a runner tomorrow.

    I actually have on my other goals "Organize one thing/day (throw away, find home, or put away 1 item). Not one AREA. One ITEM. I think you did AWESOME!!!

    I generally break up the cleaning not do all the stuff in one day. It seems that at this point in my life I just don't have the energy to get all things done in one day. My biggest problem these days is the washing and ironing, and that is due to the right shoulder pain and left knee pain. So yesterday,my doctor said time to see the orthopedic surgeon. It may be time for a total knee replacement, in the future, and haven't a clue about the shoulder. The exercises she had me doing --not working.

    Oh dear...! Empty bottles and cans filling the table tops? Your home never clean? You don't want people over?
    Imagine having a clean home where there is no trash lying around, maybe a vase or two filled with fresh cut flowers that you can inexpensively pickup at any grocery store. Imagine a candle or two lit during the cold winter nights or days while you straighten up your home, run a vacuum quickly over the floors, take a dust rag and gently dust your table tops, run a dishwasher load and think about cuddling up with a good book covering yourself with a pretty throw that you recently purchased at maybe Home Goods with a nice cup of hot tea for the afternoon.
    Losing weight is one way to change. But another way that goes hand in hand is making your house into a home. I am talking about a home to be proud of. Your home should be a reflection of you. Is a messy dirty home a reflection of who you are? I don't think so.
    So every day, continue maybe for 15 to 30 minutes, go and clean, organize and make nice somewhere in your home. Maybe tomorrow, purchase that bunch of pretty flowers and clear off a table that has been cluttered so long and make it lovely with a bouquet of flowers in a lovely vase. You can take and erase laziness from your vocabulary now. It is time to change. I am glad you are beginning the journey and starting to realize that maybe just maybe you don't want to live like that anymore. Maybe you might even start having people come over and visit. Now wouldn't that be something special, eh?

    I've accomplished a lot this week already, even though I haven't been feeling well. I think that it's a cold.
    First off I finished my 3 courses or 24 hours of continuing education..We've also gone to camp and closed up the slides for the winter. Hubby has cleaned the furnace. I've been cleaning small places and trying to de-clutter. I've made myself keep at it. This afternoon, we went to the city so that I could go to the hospital and doctor's office and straighten out a billing mess. (It was like making $120.00) Than we went to see about making an appointment to tend to getting our medicare supplement insurance set-up. Hopefully I can tackle some heavy house cleaning tomorrow!!! Hubby and son may go turkey hunting.

    Weekends are the worst for me . I'm always cleaning on Mon and tues and doing laundry on Sunday. I have to break up my days of cleaning it overwhelming sometimes

    You did Good today!!! Maybe you're on to something here. Pick up a little each day to keep moving and clean as a bonus! I actually do that at my house. It's amazing how many steps you can accumulate by doing chores. 😊
