A Long Day of Errands Again...

Friday, October 21, 2016

This turned into a long day of errands. I did get my hair done and picked up my mail. I live in a teeny tiny town so there is no mail delivery. You need to go pick you mail up everyday. Guess what I only go about once a week. I don't need my bills that bad.

Then I went to mom and dads. Got his hearing aides so I can send them to the VA to get fixed, got his insurance card so I could take it to several places to proof he has supplemental insurance. Then I did some shopping for them and took their fruit and bakery goodies back to them.

Finally got home about 3. While I was putting things away in the kitchen. That needs to be put back in shape again. And the wall around the stove needs to be degreased. YUCK. My phone rings. It is my hand mans wife. He fell off a roof last week and has a broken ankle could I make him something he can wear to keep his toes warm because his socks won't go over the boot he's got on for 10 days. So I sat down and worked up a slipper of sorts out of some pretty thick yarn. When I finish it tomorrow I'll post a picture. Maybe I'll deliver it and take a picture of his foot if it fits over the boot. The docs told him they couldn't do surgery because it would be like trying to glue sand together he broke so many of the little bones in his ankle.

I even made myself some fried cabbage and polish sausages for dinner. Might not be the lowest in calories but I ate all my servings of fruit and veggies today. I don't even need a bedtime snack tonight. I'm still full from the stick to the ribs cabbage.

Yum fried cabbage ad sausages sound really good for a cool fall dinner! I had a 6 inch Subway sandwich with my black grapes. It was good too!

Sorry to hear about your handy man and his fall. Of course you would make him something to keep his toes warm, because that's what you do for whoever needs it! I hope it fits and does the job as intended!

Glad you were able to get everything done today or at least as much as you could in one day! Take care of yourself too!

Very nice of you to get started making a slipper so quickly, he will appreciate it.
Nice that you were able to get your hair done today. Some days just don't go as planned, taking more time to get all done running around getting errands finished. Try and have a nice weekend.
