I guess it's time for a status. We had a great weekend. California got some very needed rain and when it was over the air the smelled sweeter and everything looked a lot cleaner. On Saturday, we walked with our walking group along Guadalupe River. We had our usual Saturday breakfast at our favorite restaurant. I ate wisely + and I walked home from there as I always do, it's about 3 miles +. I did some errands and then went to my middle grandson's soccer game then we all went to a Halloween fundraising event at my two older grandsons school. Unfortunately, one of the kid's classes was doing a bake sale so I felt compelled to buy a cookie and a mini pumpkin pie. I ate the cookie and split the pie with my husband. Big minus. I ran after my grandkids and got lots of steps +. Then we went to the San Jose Sharks Hockey game. We always park about a mile and half away and walk around the arena at the breaks so I had 22,000 steps at the end of the day Big plus. I ate well on Sunday big plus and managed to reach my goal of 12,000 steps plus again. Ate well on Monday and Tuesday and reached my step goal. I'm not done with today yet. I was pacing last night and I stubbed my pinky toe on a chair. I feel careless Big minus. It looked broken because it was sticking out at a weird angle but it feels much better this afternoon.
I am having some real issues with sleeping. I follow all of the rules, no caffeine after 12, keep a consistent bedtime, no screens in the bedroom that is kept at around 63 degrees. I take melatonin sometimes. I drink chamomile tea at night and I fall right to sleep but I wake up at about 2 or 3 or 4 and can't get back to sleep. It happens around 5 or 6 times a week and it's killing me. I'm not sure if this is + or -. If anyone can offer a new suggestion, I would be happy to try it.
