Just another Manic Monday

Today I must say was kind of a crazy day. Productive, but not in the right ways. This month although just starting out has been insane. Last month I was sick, this month, my boyfriend is sick. So needless to say that my housework and my house has suffered between the two. Today I woke up with a mission. I was tired of living in a house that looked like this. Yesterday, a couple of friends wanted to stop by and I had to say no, because my house was such a mess. I was too embarrassed. Now my house is lived in. I have dishes in the sick, I have clothes on the floor and I have childrens' toys spread from end of the house to the other. I live in a typical house. However I was raised that your house has to be in pristine condition when you have guests, and being that I am a stay at home mother, I try so hard to keep up to that standard. My boyfriend goes to work everyday and so must I. It is so hard sometimes to "go to work". I stay in the same walls everyday, day in and day out. Sometimes they get to be too much.
Today, was no different. I'd had enough!!! I couldn't live this way!!! I must say that I suffer from OCD and that I have a horrible compulsion for things to be in their rightful places at all times. Change is hard and messiness, unless I feel I am dying, is unacceptable. So this morning, I woke up got breakfast ready for my son and myself. Then did all the dishes. I started laundry, washed and dried and took care of 4 loads of laundry. My sons play room was getting overwhelming so I de-cluttered it and took more than half of his toys away, and it still looks like he has too many toys. I think it may be time to teach my son the art of giving things to other children in need :-)
I then went grocery shopping, made lunch and supper, and vacuumed all of the floors. My house is now company approved!!! On a much more upbeat note...my weight bench came in today. We put it together!!! 45 minutes to complete my ass!!! I am fairly intelligent, my boyfriend could be a genius, and my son...well he is 19 months old...he knows everything :-) It took us almost 2 hours to assemble the thing!!! However now that it is done it looks amazing and I cant wait until tomorrow to resume my workout. I am now going to start a new routine...Strength Training followed by 30 minutes of Cardio. I am so excited to build some muscle, and let this fat take care of itself!!!
That's all for today. Thanks for reading and I hope you all had a great and productive Monday!
