Challenge yourself!

As part of this weeks blogging challenge, we were encouraged to discuss what we liked about the challenge and why we would encourage someone to join the fun. I love a challenge. I love being part of a team. Even if I didn't lose weight one week, lots of other team members did, and it makes me happy to see their success. If it weren't for the challenges, I would stay in my comfort zone. I would eat the same foods, do the same exercise, and eventually I would get bored. Boredom is death to weight loss. I have a whole graveyard of weight loss dreams and hopes. I think a lot of us do. I find being part of a team challenge motivates me to connect with people who are experiencing the same things that I am. We all have bad weeks at work, or a health issue that comes up, or we just get tired! Tired of logging food, tired of finding time to exercise, tired of denying ourselves the food we want so badly at times! My team keeps me grounded in the fact that these times do pass, and we can get past it. Thank you teammates! emoticon As my first challenge comes to a close, I am glad that we traveled it together!!
