Friday part 2

Since I've had some requests as to telling you what I do thought I'd do a part 2 to yesterday's blog. I am a Controller/Office Manager. I've been an accountant for almost 30 years so that part of my job search is not new to me,. I just have to learn the system and the procedures the company does. They system they use is a much older version than the one I was using at my last job. The part that is new to me is the Office Manager duties, which includes Human Resources, facilities, safety, production control and purchasing. I had to file my first workers compensation claim this week.
I am enjoying the job and every seems to be nice. A lot of them speak polish so I will have to have it translated to me when they come with questions or we need to investigate injuries.
