This weekend was crazy busy and not great for my calorie count. I got an email from Marie Callendars that they had a free piece of pie waiting for me, so on Friday we went out to eat there. My favorite dish for dinner is Chicken Pie. The mini version of it is 1,736 calories so with great willpower I skipped it and got the Salmon dinner which 607 calories and had pumpkin pie for my free dessert and shared it with my husband and no whipped cream. I got 14,473 steps. 4 pluses.
On Saturday we had breakfast out and then headed up to Sheep Ranch - Pioneer Inn

for a memorial service for a dear friend who passed away at the age of 69 (RIP Michael Bishop) Meals were provided. Soup and salad for lunch and salmon with potato salad and green beans for dinner. Sheep ranch is 150 miles from where we live. In the evening before dinner they did a wine tasting with about 15 different wines. I spent a good part of the day in the car. Plus it was pouring then we drove to our vacation home in Arnold, CA after dinner. Only 8,201 steps that day but at least I slept really well. Too many calories and too few steps 2 minuses, 1 plus for the best night's sleep in weeks.
On Sunday, we drove home through pouring rain and more rain after we got home. We ate breakfast out again before coming home. I had a Denver Omelet with cheese and buttered rye toast. Not a very low calorie breakfast. We walked around our block when the rain let up and then to to the market for dinner vegetables. We had spaghetti with delicious homemade spaghetti sauce and salad. Too many calories and only 7,592 steps. Dinner tasted great but clocked in 1,398 calories. 2 minuses.
Thank Goodness I'm back on track today.
